Role Overview:

As a Junior Technical Engineer, you will support the Technical Engineering team in delivering high?quality technical solutions and services. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and senior team members, you will assist with incident management, troubleshooting, installations, and documentation. This is a development role designed to build your technical skills and industry knowledge, with a focus on learning, teamwork, and customer service. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing incident and project queues, escalating issues as required.
  • Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, and operational issues on Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems under supervision.
  • Aid field engineers with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external customers as directed by the Team Leader or senior engineers.
  • Attend client sites with senior staff when required, supporting onsite technical work.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and assist with compliance activities.
  • Participate in training and onboarding sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and integration of new technologies as part of the team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and continuous learning.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Requirements and Competencies:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a technical engineering, IT support, or related field (graduates and trainees welcome).
  • Exposure to security systems, technology, or IT environments is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Basic understanding of Access Control, CCTV, and related security systems (e.g., Integriti,
  • Genetec, Milestone, Axis, Hanwha, Allied Telesis, Cisco SMB, Ubiquiti).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Products (Excel, Windows OS, Server environments).
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, products, and industry standards
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectivel
